Conestogas opened its doors on September 15, 1988 in the southern-most building with about 35 seats. The restaurant is now made up of three additional buildings. The buildings have housed all kinds of businesses from a 5 &10 store, a funeral parlor, Beckham’s Grocery & Market, Robarts and Pettit Hardware, a pool hall and bar, a local newspaper, a waterbed manufacturer, and many other businesses over the past 130 years.

After working 16 years for Western Sizzlin Steak House, Rick decided to go out on his own. Donna and Rick put their retirement and life savings into opening Conestogas Restaurant, with a lot of help and financial support from family and friends. THANK YOU!

Conestogas Restaurant has always had the motto “GIVE THE CUSTOMER WHAT HE OR SHE WANTS” and our business has grown with the help from YOU, our Customers!
